The US drilling rig count jumped 13 to reach 1,057 units working for the week ended Aug. 10, according to Baker Hughes data. The count is up 90 units from this time a year ago when the count stood at 954.

Offshore units were up 3 rigs from last week with 20 units working. A total of 1,035 rigs were drilling on land, up 10 units from a week ago. The number of rigs drilling in inland waters remained unchanged at 2 units working.
