The US drilling rig count remained unchanged at 1,048 units working for the week ended Sept. 7, according to Baker Hughes data. The count is up 104 units from this time a year ago when it stood at 944.

Offshore units increased by a single rig with 19 units working. A total of 1,026 rigs were drilling on land, down 2 from a week ago. The number of rigs drilling in inland waters was up 1 to 3 units working.
